Makin Glass Artisans
$30.00 per month
Members will be able to work independently in the ceramics area on specified days and times.
Members are responsible for cleaning up after themselves.
Members will be given a space to store and dry their clay projects.
Members must purchase their own clays and specialty glazes
Tools will be provided for use while members is at Makin Glass
Tools can not go home with members.
Members may purchase their own tools if they wish.
Firing will be as follows
Every member will be given 2 Cubic feet of kiln space each month
Can be used for 2 Cubic feet of bisque firing
or
Can be used for 2 Cubic feet of glaze firing
or
Can be used for 1 Cubic foot of bisque firing and 1 cubic foot of glaze firing
Additional Cubic feet can be purchased separately at
$15.00 per Cubic foot.
Raku Firing
Raku requires additional work and safety requirements.
At this time, members will not be allowed to fire the Raku Kiln.
Raku will only be fired when the kiln is full, this may only be every few months, never in the summer.
If a Raku firing is requested before the kiln is full there will be an additional charge of $50.00
Breakage
Breakage happens for many different reasons, neither
Makin Glass or Laurel Besecker are responsible for breakage.
Guest Teachers are not responsible for breakage.
Fair workers on not responsible for breakage at fairs or in transit.
Guest Teachers
Guest teachers will be invited to teach at Makin Glass & Pottery.
Members will be given a 10% discount on these classes.
It is the members responsibility to look up class times and costs on the web page www.makinglass.com
All deposits for special classes must be made 14 days in advance of the class.
Deposits are non-refundable.
Deposits will be 25% of the cost of the class, not to exceed $200.00.
Guest Teachers will set up class times and breaks.
