Makin Glass & Pottery is happy to announce a Summertime Art Program for children 12 and older. The program will be every Wednesday throughout the summer beginning with June 16, 2010 and ending August 4, 2010.
Your child does not need to attend every Wednesday.
The cost is $10.00 per child per week.
Payment is due at the beginning of each class.
The times of the class will be 12:00 to 1:30.
Laurel Besecker will be the teacher.
The following classes may be offered, in no particular order.
Nice for cards, paper can be made from many different items, including 

flowers and scents.
Chinese Brush Strokes
Painting using ink sticks and bamboo brushes to learn a little more about California History and Ancient China
Batik Hot Wax and Dye on Cloth
Use hot wax and dyes to make your own designs on cloth.
Tye Dye
Everyone loves tye dye.
Pen & Ink
Make wonderful drawings using small tip pens, a great addition to watercolor.
Ceramics
Learn to make items from clay, fire them and then glaze them. This will take 

more than one week.
Mosaic
Build a mosaic picture on a 10x10 board. This will take more than one week.
Jewelry Making
Using Polymer clays you can make quite the assortment of jewelry items
ranging from flowers to bugs, you are only limited by your imagination.
Water Color
Landscapes, florals, and animals.
Tempra Painting
Use Tempra paints to learn the techniques of Acrliyc Painting.
Pastels
Use soft pastels to capture a colorful sunset or a majestic oak.
The classes will be decided based on popularity of the class. Please let us know what classes your child has the most interest in.
