Kimberly:
Instructor of Stained Glass - Fusing - Occasionally Mosaics

I have been working with stained glass for 15 years. I have recently become interested in hot glass. I have focused myself into the fusing, but have occasionally made it over to the torch. I was a teachers assist this year at the Las Vegas Glass and Bead Expo for Phil Teefy. I love to watch people grow as they explore their abilities to work with glass. So many times people come in and tell us that they can’t do art, we love to prove them wrong!

I started Makin Glass in January of 2004. Since our humble beginnings we have managed to grow by leaps and bounds, thanks to all of our hard working students. My parents have been a big help, they are always there when I need help. My children have also become interested in glass, they put me to shame. Our business is a family business which is apparent to anyone that comes in. Our customers become part of our family, our students take care of one another, and the lord is ever present.

Mary Mooney:
Instructor of Stained Glass - Mosaics

With 17 years of experience I have turned my attention towards mosaics. My mosaic classes include glass on glass, stepping stones (poured and unpoured), mosaic mesh, and liquid fusion. I continue to take classes whenever possible, some of my instructors have been Christine Stewart, Robin Evans, and David Ward PHD. My knowledge and love of mosaics have been a great asset to my daughters studio, Makin Glass, where my classes fill up with happy, productive students.
